INOVIS becomes InHand DACH distributor

We at the INOVIS Group would like to inform you that INOVIS Live Automation has taken over the distribution of InHand in the DACH region as of 1 January 2010.

Five years ago, together with TELTONIKA and Vision, we began to play a significant role in the Swiss market for cellular-based gateways and routers. We quickly realised that there was a need and that we could fill a gap with our customer proximity, flexibility and support. Thanks to the great commitment of our employees, the support of many customers and now also partners, we have been able to steadily increase our turnover and project depth, and meaningfully expand our portfolio with MikroTik and Milesight.

Nevertheless, we have lost many potential projects in the last twelve months, especially where embedded computers + gateways or edge computers + routers were required, often in combination with industrial switches, vehicle gateways or for 5G projects. In many cases we have not been able to bid or participate in these projects. Some of our competitors have gateways and routers with higher processing power, additional interfaces, higher IP protection, E-mark and EN 50155 certification or even M12 connectors. We could not compete on price with separate Box PC solutions and connectivity components. The lost market potential was and is too great for us to remain inactive. With InHand, we have now closed this gap in our portfolio.

We do not see the future collaboration with InHand as competing with existing partnerships. With InHand, we are targeting projects that we have not been able to win or implement in recent years. We will not actively push simpler solutions. Our proven products such as the TRB140 industrial gateway, the OTD140 outdoor gateway, the handy mini UPSs such as the BAT120 and the entire Milesight LoRa portfolio will remain an important part of our product portfolio. We remain committed to the Sensor2Cloud concept and will continue to work with our existing partners and valued customers on new products and solutions.
